Polycom has recently discovered some Vortex power supplies - model PSU50A-14E - shipped between May 2006 and July 2007 have a higher than expected failure rate. Limited to the Power Supply, there is no safety issue involved, nor are there any issues with the Vortex unit itself.

This issue does not affect units shipped after July 15, 2007, which contain updated power supplies identified by a “J967” on the power supply’s label and do not need to be replaced.
